Make A Wish! {WSC325}

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!

Today I have a card to share with you using the current MFT Sketch Challenge, WSC325!  Such a fun sketch with lots of possibilities!

Print

For my card, I pulled out the darling Pure Innocence Cupcake Day and paired her with Birthday Speech Bubbles!  So fun!  I cut this sweet PI, and her balloon, using the Pure Innocence Cupcake Day Die-namics, and then stamped them both using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink with Pure Innocence Cupcake Day.  I colored her and her balloon with Copic Markers.  I cut two panels of Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Square STAX Die-namics, and then trimmed one down to about 1/2 and inch.  I added it to the bottom of the complete square to lengthen it a bit to accommodate my PI, and hid the separation with the flag cut from the Sweet Celebration Paper Pack using the Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.

I popped up the focal panel using Foam Tape onto another pattern from the Sweet Celebration Paper Pack, cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics.  I added the speech bubble (LOVE) cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Birthday Speech Bubbles Die-namics, and stamped it using Birthday Speech Bubbles using Pineapple Premium Dye Ink.  A trio of rhinestones and an enamel dot finish off my card.

Because You Make My Heart Happy! {CC66}

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

I have a card to share with you today using the new MFT Color Challenge, CC66! It’s a GORGEOUS color combination of Safety Orange, Cranberry Cocktail,Tropical Teal and Tangy Orange!  Instead of using these exact colors, I created my card using some of the GORGEOUS new Distress Oxide Inks!

Print

I started with a panel Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics.  I placed the Funky Florals Stencil on top of my panel, and then sponged on Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink, Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink, Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink and Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. The ways these inks blend is nothing short of AMAZING!  SO soft and smooth!

I cut a panel of Kraft Card Stock using the Circle STAX 2 Die-namics, and then added a strip of Smooth White Card Stock, stamped with “you make me happy” from Because You, using Versmark Ink, and then heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder.  I then sponged the entire panel with Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink, and then buffed off where the sentiment was embossed.  I then cut “because” from Smooth White Card Stock, and sponged it with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink, and then coated it with Glossy Accents.  Once it was dry, I attached it to the circle panel, and then added a thin strip of Smooth White Card Stock between “because” and the sentiment panel.  A trio of enamel dots finishes off my card.

Bestest Wishes! {CTD435}

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, I am the hostess!  I have challenged everyone to use the combination of orange, turquoise and yellow! I hope you love these colors as much as I do!!

Print

So, as you can see, I am still completely and utterly obsessed with creating watercolored backgrounds!  For my card today, I started with a panel of Watercolor Paper and then pulled out some original Distress Inks in orange, yellow and turquoise hues, and created the background.  I then added specks of black and white for even more interest.

I stamped “Bestest Wishes” from Birthday Wishes & Balloons using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment using Black Embossing Powder.  I added a trio of hearts cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics. I then added the focal panel onto a panel of patterned paper cut from the Black & White Basics Paper Pack.  LOVE.
