Creative Construction With Blueprints!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for the April Creative Construction With Blueprints feature!  This month, the MFT Design Team is working with just ONE set of Blueprints Die-namics, and a provided sketch, and creating a card!  I’ve used on my all time favorite Blueprints Die-namics sets and sketches, Blueprints 12 Die-namics!

Print

I seriously ADORE Blueprints 12 Die-namics, and this sketch in particular.  It is a go-to for me, for sure, when I need a quick card! For my card today, I started with a panel of patterned paper from the Black & White Basics Paper Pack, and cut panels of Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock for the top and bottom.

The circle panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock, and I stamped “I Can’t Thank You Enough” from Thanks So Very Much using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. The flower was cut from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock and Smooth White Card Stock, and the leaves were cut from Sour Apple Card Stock.  The flags behind the circle element were cut from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and Sour Apple Card Stock.  I finished off the card with a trio of white enamel dots.

A Little Hello! {WSC329}

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!

I have a card to share with you today using the current MFT Sketch Challenge, WSC329!  Such a great sketch, and I had a lot of fun creating this card!

Print

I flipped the sketch on it’s side for my card today, and I started by cutting the frame from Smooth White Card Stock using the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics.  The background was cut from Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock for the sky, and Sour Apple Card Stock for the grass.  The sun was cut from Pineapple Prestige Card Stock using the Spring Scene Builder Die-namics

The flowers were all cut from X-Press It Blending Card using the Springtime Blooms Die-namics, and I stamped them using Springtime Blooms with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and then added details with a White Gel Pen.  I popped them up onto the scene using Foam Tape, and then added a sentiment strip, cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and the stamped “A LITTLE HELLO” from Springtime Blooms using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

Happy Birthday, Hot Stuff! {CTD439}

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Vickie has challenged us to use red, orange, yellow and purple!  Such a fun color combo!

Print

I had lots of fun with this color combo, and created a card full of birthday candles using the Make A Wish set and Make A Wish Die-namics!  I cut the candles and flames from Smooth White Card Stock using the Make A Wish Die-namics, and then stamped them using Make A Wish with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink, Red Hot Premium Dye Ink, Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink and Pineapple Premium Dye Ink.  I popped them up with Foam Tape onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

The sentiment panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 27 Die-namics, and I stamped “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HOT STUFF” using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. The main panel was cut from patterned paper from the Sweet Celebration Paper Pack, and I added the focal panel using Foam Tape.  I coated the flames of the candles with some sparkle using a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker.

A-maze-ing Card Kit Release!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s SUCH an exciting night, as the INCREDIBLE new A-maze-ing Card Kit has been released, right HERE in the MFT Boutique!  I just ADORE this kit SO very much!

Print

I had SO much fun creating my card!  I just cannot get enough of these mazes!  I started by cutting three different patterned papers from the Sweet Celebration Paper Pack using Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and then added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 20 Die-namics.

I used the Stitched Mini Circle Scallop STAX Die-namics to cut a panel of Razzle Berry Card Stock, and used that as the frame for my circle shaker pouch and maze shape.  After cutting it out, I then cut it again, to create the circle opening, using the Circle Shaker Frame & Window Die-namics.  I then added my maze shape and maze sphere, and added a panel of Smooth White Card Stock to the back. A heart, cut from Lemon Drop Card Stock, was added to the center of the maze. I added a bow of pink baker’s twine, and a sentiment panel cut using Blueprints 20 Die-namics from Smooth White Card Stock.  I stamped “You’re A-maze-ing” using Black Licorice Ink using the You’re A-maze-ing Stamp Set.
